We integrate utilities such as power, water, data, and lighting; specify cleats, bollards, fenders, and ladders; and tailor decking, railing, and finishes to your use, vessel sizes, and budget.

Structural design, foundations, materials, and hardware

Every project begins with a site assessment to quantify wind, waves, fetch, currents, water depth and fluctuation, soil conditions, and berthing loads. We size piles and embedments, select fixed or floating systems, and apply cross-bracing, batter piles, or helical anchors as needed to control deflection and uplift while accommodating ADA slopes and live-load requirements.

We specify marine-grade materials for durability: AWPA UC4C-treated timber or composite piles; hot-dip galvanized and 316 stainless-steel fasteners; aluminum or galvanized frames; and composite, PVC, or hardwood decking. Encapsulated floats resist puncture and UV exposure, through-rod connections prevent racking, and sacrificial anodes and coatings combat corrosion.

We handle approvals and protect your shoreline

We streamline permitting by preparing complete applications, engineered drawings, site plans, and narratives for local, state, and federal reviewers, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers when applicable. Our team addresses riparian rights, setbacks, navigation clearances, and neighbor notifications to move approvals forward without surprises.

Construction methods follow best practices to minimize environmental impact: turbidity curtains and soft-start pile driving, grated or light-transmitting decking to reduce over-water shading, careful alignment to avoid submerged aquatic vegetation and shellfish habitat, and sensible scheduling around sensitive seasons for marine life.

Compliance extends through final inspection. We build to current electrical and fire codes for over-water systems, provide as-built documentation and operations manuals, and deliver maintenance plans that support warranty requirements and long-term performance.
